Mike A. Vantrump, Controller of HSL Financial Group, LLC, has thirty years of accounting experience in a variety of areas.

The majority of Mike‘s work experience has been in the hospitality field, having worked for over twelve years with the PGA TOUR as Controller of the Tournament Players Club of Scottsdale. While working for the PGA TOUR Mike was responsible for the financial activities of the TPC as well as conducting internal audits at other TPC locations and providing support to those clubs during PGA TOUR events.

Following the PGA TOUR, Mike was the Controller of Club Operations at Desert Mountain Golf Club in Scottsdale, an exclusive 8,500 acre gated community with over 2,000 members. In 1999, he left the golf business to become Controller of Resort Suites of Scottsdale, a privately owned 431 unit suite hotel.

After a seven year stint at Resort Suites, and following the successful sale of the hotel to a group led by Goldman Sachs, Mike joined the Hinshaw Financial Group, LLC as Controller. Mike has extensive experience in forecasting and budgeting.

Mike grew up in Missouri and attended the University of Missouri obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. In 1985, he passed the CPA exam during his first sitting. His hobbies include golf, attending sporting events and working around the house.
